The reason for changing the name of the park is that it is their way to show honor to the late Indira Gandhi, who was the late Prime Minister of India.
Pench aka “Mowgli Land”:
Pench is a place that is situated in a way that stretches over the two states of Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. 70% of this national park is in the state of Madhya Pradesh and the remaining 30% of the park is in the state of Maharashtra.
Now this national park is one of the most visited destinations when it comes to wildlife. People who love wildlife never miss this place and people all around the world travel to Pench National Park. This place gained so much popularity because of the book “The Jungle Book”, it is said that the writer of the movie took inspiration from Pench National Park. As Rudyard Kipling was born and spent most of his childhood in India.
And he drew different inspirations from the jungle and wildlife while writing the story of “The Jungle Book”. The book talked about the jungle of central India and it is believed that the jungle the book was talking about is Pench National Park.
The story was about a boy who was raised by wolves in the jungle. The jungle is assumed to be Pench National Park because the book mentioned that the jungle is located in the district of Seoni and Chhindwara. The district is situated in the states of Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh.

Day : 1 Nagpur – Pench
Welcome on arrival at Nagpur Airport / Railway Station & transfer to Pench (92 Kms / 2 Hrs). Arrival & Check in at the resort. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay at the Resort.

Day : 2 Pench
Early morning, depart for Park round by 6 am. Come back by 09.30 am. Get freshen up and enjoy the breakfast. Enjoy the second Park round by 2.30 pm after Lunch. Come back in the evening. Collect some interesting knowledge from the Wildlife Documentary show at the evening. Dinner & O/N stay at the resort.

Day : 3 Pench
Early morning, enjoy the nature walk with Naturalist. Enjoy the Bird watching & collect the interesting and important information about the Flora & Fauna of Pench National Park & Tiger Reserve. Get fresh & enjoy the breakfast. Enjoy the Park round by 3 pm after Lunch. Come back in the evening. Collect some interesting knowledge from the Wildlife Documentary show at the evening. Dinner & Overnight stay at the resort.

Day : 4 Pench – Nagpur
After breakfast, check out from the resort & get transfer to Nagpur. Enroute visit Ramtek, situated on a hillock with a cluster of ancient temples of Rama, Nrusimha and Varah attracts to catch the beautiful landscapes from the top. Enjoy lunch at Khindsey Dam with Boating. Visit the modern architecture Dragon Temple at Kamptee which is constructed to worship the Lord Buddha. Arrive at Nagpur with some wildlife memories from the Mogliland.
